GaiaXBook a Consultation

Ages 15–22 · 12–16 weeks

Independent research, guided one-to-one.

A 12–16 week mentorship built around one independent research question — the student's own, not a template. One-to-one guidance from a working researcher, writing support as the work develops, and a final presentation defended under questioning. Not open yet, by choice: we are still vetting mentors, and waitlist families are matched first.

Is this your child?

Who it's for

  • Students aged 15–22 ready for independent academic work
  • Best suited after a first project experience such as the AI Research Pathway
  • Students who want research experience that stands up to interview questions — because they genuinely did it

Not for you if…

  • Students who haven't yet finished a first structured project
  • Publication-guarantee shoppers — research can fail; that's what makes it research
  • Families who want a paper produced for the student rather than by them

We would rather turn work away than take it dishonestly — that’s the deal behind every program here.

The plan

The journey, milestone by milestone.

Published before we start. You always know where your child is.

  1. 01

    Weeks 1–2

    Match & scope

Topic scoping and mentor matching. The mentor is named to the family — with background and role — before the program begins. No anonymous experts.

  2. 02

    Weeks 3–12

    Research

One-to-one working sessions on the student's question: methods, experiments or analysis, and academic writing developed as the work develops — not bolted on at the end.

  3. 03

    Final weeks

    Write & defend

A finished paper and a presentation the student defends with questions — plus the mentor's written evaluation of the work and the working process.

Who teaches this

Standards, not mystery.

International researchers and academics, held to the same rule as every GaiaX mentor: named to the family before anything is signed, transparent about their role, and reviewed on the student's actual work. This standard is exactly why the program isn't open yet — building a mentor network that honestly meets it takes longer than announcing one.

Every family meets the mentor before the program starts — named, in person or on a call. No ghost professors, ever.

What your child takes away

  • Independent research paper
  • Defended final presentation
  • Mentor's written evaluation

Straight answers

Questions parents ask.

When does it open?

We are finalising the mentor network. Book a consultation to join the waitlist and be matched first.

Why isn't it open yet?

Because our mentor standard is slower than our ambition. Every GaiaX mentor must be named to families, transparent in role, and reviewed on student work — and we won't launch this program with a network that doesn't fully meet that bar. The outline above is the design; it opens when the people behind it are ready.

Will the research be published?

Maybe — and we won't promise it. Publication depends on the quality of the work and the standards of the venue, which is exactly as it should be. What we do commit to: a genuinely completed piece of research the student can explain, defend and build on.

What will it cost?

Structured by depth and length, and discussed openly in consultation — the same policy as every GaiaX program. Waitlist families hear the structure first.
