Who teaches this
Standards, not mystery.
AK Robotics coaches — competition-seasoned, safety-first and notebook-obsessed. Coaches run the season; students run the robot. The rule at every event: coaches advise, students decide.
Every family meets the mentor before the program starts — named, in person or on a call. No ghost professors, ever.

Which competitions do students enter?
VEX IQ and VEX V5 seasons are the backbone, with additional regional and international events depending on the team's level.
My child has never built a robot. Can they join?
Yes. Placement starts with fundamentals, and teams are formed by experience level.
How much time does a season take?
A weekly team session, rising near competition windows — build deadlines are honest deadlines. The season calendar is published upfront, so families see the peaks before committing.
Is robotics useful if my child won't study engineering?
Yes — the transferable part is the working style: debugging calmly, dividing work in a team, explaining decisions under pressure. Those show up later in design crits, research projects and interviews, whatever the degree says.
